Request a demoLicense plating is a method for grouping and managing inventory in the form of a container. You decide what constitutes a container— a pallet, carton or chep can all be a container. Each container is assigned a unique License Plate Number (LPN) and given a barcode label.
When shipping orders, combining multiple SKUs into a single container reduces the number of packages. This leads to cost savings on shipping and handling.
With license plates, you can easily track the contents of each container, making for easy identification for the customer.

You’ll be able to see all license plates in one place. Start by opening a license plate for your container. With every scan you can add product to the container. After the license plate is completed, Dock2Dock will print a license plate manifest label (as shown) identifying the contents of the container.
If you’re combining multiple SKUs into a single container, supermarkets are increasing requesting the supplier provide license plate labels on each container so they can identify the product at their end.
